Jazz Kissa is a magazine edited by Katsumasa Kusunose from JAZZ CITY LLC. It is dedicated to showcasing the culture of Jazz Kissa, or jazz cafes, places that were created in Japan, and that practically only exist there, although In recent years, some have been opened in different cities around the world, influenced by this Japanese phenomenon.
Currently, there are about 600 jazz cafes and jazz bars in Japan. About 90% of them still listen to jazz on vinyl.
This photobook introduces about 130 Jazz Kissas in eastern Japan (Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto/Tokyo) taken in 2014 in a total of 2 volumes, including stores that have already closed. Is a photobook, so there aren't text. The table of contents and store address appears in Japanesse and English.
