An Evening Of Deep Listening & Sensory Delights
We are beyond excited to invite you back into the listening room at The Tipping Pointe as we focus on two original works by Tim Hecker. We’re doing things a bit differently this time; extending the event and food service social hour to better accommodate.
We’ll be exploring music from Hecker’s discography in part one of the programme (7pm) and fixing our ears upon Konoyo. There will be a social hour and vinyl pop-up shop, sounds from traditional Gagaku music, and for part two, we’ll dive right into Anoyo with a discussion and live visual art throughout the evening by the amazingly talented Mike Adame (ILOVEYOUJUSTFORFUN).
Few in the field of explorative ambient music have remained as questing and unclassifiable as Canadian composer Tim Hecker. Across his 15-year career, he has moved through shades of reflective electronic noise, experiential sound design, and modern composition with a deft and distinguished touch. Join us as we float away into the Tim Hecker universe.
